Just a thought, if we rose up and became who God created us to be, how would society be?
When you read Bible verses and History books of how courageous women were, where did we go wrong? Young women today either don't know their value, or feel that their value is no longer relevant. If we respected ourselves, the world would respect us. We are made in His image, not what others say about us, but what God says we are.
Sometimes, it's best to hear from Men, what their opinion of a woman's role in society. I pulled a couple of tweets from remarkable men:
"Men respect standards- get some!"-Steve Harvey
"Sis,good men are looking for a woman that isn't following the crowd but respecting herself in this confused world."
"People will take your self respect if you're giving it away. Respect-Self!"
"You won't need Man's validation once you've been validated by God"
"Ladies, a REAL MAN is looking for a Wife that can be a Mom & cursing isn't something he wants around his kid(s)"
"Work on the things you can't see in the mirror more than the things you can. True beauty starts within"
"People treat you how they see you"
"Sis,if you're willing a man will let you play the fool all your life! You gotta love you first"
"Don't sell your self-respect, there are no refunds"
-Tony A. Gaskins Jr
In a time when sex sells, half-naked is the new beauty, and lady-like grammar is a thing of the past; I say, it's not too late to set your own trends, to have standards, to be the alternative, and to be true women of faith-who not only talk it but walk it! Do you know your worth? Mine is FAR above rubies, God says so, and I co-sign.
I don't just talk it, I walk it-walking by faith that is... in my Faith Stilettos.
