Daily Bread for Monday: Negativity

How can I keep my problems from giving me a bad attitude?

GOD'S RESPONSE

After exploring the land for forty days, the men...reported to the whole community what they had seen and showed then the fruit they had taken from the land. This was their report to Moses: "We arrived in the land you sent us to see, and it is indeed a magnificent country...But the people living there are powerful, and their countries and towns are fortified and very large. We also saw the descendants of Anak who are living there!" Numbers 13:25-28

When you're focused on your problem, you can't see the bigger picture of what God might be doing. The Israelites certainly had reason to be afraid, but they forgot that God had already promised to give them the land. Their fear made them negative. As hard as it is, keep your problems in God's perspective so you won't become negative and give up.

GOD'S PROMISE
Caleb tried to encourage the people as they stood before Moses. "Let's go at once to take the land," he said. "We can certainly conquer it!" Numbers 13:30
