Happy Birthday To A True Role Model: President Barak Obama

With President Obama turning 49 today, both parties’ national committees are seizing on his birthday to cash in.


For starters, Michelle Obama sent an e-mail to more than 13 million supporters – most of whom have never met the president – asking them to sign a birthday card for her husband. Since the request went out to addresses on the Organizing for America listserv last week, more than 1.2 million people have signed the card – including their ZIP code and, if they were so inclined, a personal note and a chunk of change.
