Stilletto Faith Walkers

Looking for what fits my style
While asking "May I have a size 8?"
I won't strut if I can't strut by Faith.
Meaning I walk by Faith in my stilettos...

Faith was my praying grandmother;
Faith is my relentless mother,
Faith IS a lesson I teach my daughter.

A woman of Faith defined:
A lady living by God's design
Listening to his voice and not operating by a carnal mind-
Now that's Faith!

She lifts the chin of the single mother
And tells her to look up.
She's the praying hands behind her sons finding who's good enough.

Faith is everywhere she is, in her cuisines
That's the secret ingredient.
Our stilettos will never be the same,
Now that we've added Faith in it.

Interceding's on her resume',
Her prayer line is on speed dial.
God never has to tap her on the shoulder and say
"Haven't heard from you in a while."

She makes God smile 'cause even through trials,
She refuses to live in defeat.
You see, a woman of Faith isn't rambunctious or rude
She's the kindest woman you'll ever meet.

We are a new generation of women
Still humble and meek-
But strutting the runway of life
Taking time to smell the roses
Keeping in mind what grandma told us
"When one door closes..."

...Another one opens.

And we walk right through it,
Knowing we've come this far by Faith-
Leaning on the Lord.

Women of Faith have carried us,
Mountains should fear us
Mustard seeds should grow.
Women of today can still walk by Faith
Walk by Faith in your stilettos.
