All of us have met them, but are some of us slowly becoming one? A Christian who boldly confesses Christ, but don't resemble him. The people that you meet or interact with on a daily basis may never go to church, read the Bible, and they may never seek their true calling in life, what if WE were the only resemblance of Christ that they saw? Are we loving? Do we go the extra mile? Do we put others before ourselves? Do we look down on someone who does not look like us, drive what we drive, live in the same neighborhood, or believe what we believe? If Jesus had to write a recommendation letter for us, what would he say?
I'd rather someone study my walk, than what I claim to be. Someone who does not know Christ should be drawn to him because of believers, not be pushed further away because of a religious mentality. One of Jesus' greatest struggles were with and because of religious people. (Matthew 23: 25-28)
If you perform religiously for praise from others, remember God's in the audience as well. That's who you should seek to please. Don't do all of the "right" things and still have it all wrong. Children resemble their parents, people should know whose we are.
